Coconut Oil

EfaGold Coconut Oil Dietary Supplement

Hey ya'll,

I recently came across the amazingness that is coconut oil. Things it is good for:
-Hair
-Skin
-Cooking
-Lube

Yup, you read right. Lube.

Hair
Being that it is winter and it is winter in UTAH, most of you are going to be having the same problem as me. Dry itchy scalp. Ew. Well apparently, coconut oil is excellent for replenishing the essential oils to your scalp AND it's naturally antibacterial soooo, what that means is.... dead scalp bacteria = longer healthier hair. If you also have a problem with dry brittle hair, you guessed it! Coconut oil will help. Just put it on 20 min to an hour on your scalp and hair before shampooing and do everything else as normal. *Tip: The coconut oil is a solid when you buy it but can quickly be melted either by your fingers or you can put warm water in a bowl and then add a couple of tablespoons of the oil and it will melt. I just use my fingers because its more convenient.

Skin
If you have dry hair, you likely have dry skin. After showering, use oil how you would to lotion your whole body, Your body will LOVE you, trust me. I have been putting a little on my face each morning and it gives me a much more youthful glow. I was afraid due to the oiliness it would make my face "break-out" but I've been safe so far!

Cooking
Apparently it can be used as a butter replacement. I haven't used it yet but I think you can just follow directions on the bottle.

Lube
The fun one. This may be TMI but coconut oil is great lube for several reasons.
-As I mentioned before it is antibacterial (no harm there right?)
-It smells good, has no taste, and is NOT STICKY!
- Again, TMI but it doesn't wash off in the shower due to the oily properties.

So have I convinced you yet? Oh ya, it's also really cheap (purchased mine for $5 at Walmart). Just make sure it is all natural (coconut oil should be the only ingredient) but it doesn't need to be organic. Also, I heard the virgin kind is NOT as good for your hair and stuff so I would just try to stick with the regular kind. Try it! Love it! And have a great day!

  1. WOO! Way to put it all out there. I have wanted to buy coconut oil, but have only seen it for like $12 for a small jar. Seemed like a lot to me. I will have to look at walmart!
