This week I wanted to share something for the mama's. Since we have an abundance of bloggers here at the Waxcicle who are Mammas already!
This is the inspiration for today's post. I just love this funky and creative nursery. It is retro (the rug, chair, globe) and Modern at the same time (the white walls, sleek crib, and animal decor.) Unfortunately I couldn't find the source for this picture beyond my own Pinterest board, so I'm not sure how the wall came to be decorated like that. But I can still be inspired by it!
Here is a kid's room idea for a girl. Just get a circle stencil and do some work on a white wall!

Inside the House, Clustered Living Spaces
This week's interior just makes me say,"wow!!!!!" With five exclamation points. it comes to us from one of my favorite design sites, lonny.com.
My favorite way to design a home is to cluster separate living spaces around the home. This may be impractical for those of us in small homes or apartments, but when I have a larger house I am going to organize it this way in every single room.
Take a look at this floor plan I found online, here. I highlighted all the separate living, or seating areas.
As you can see, most rooms have multiple seating areas. Giving the residents a variety of options on where to sit. I love this because it avoids redundancy. You can have a chair for reading, a stool for eating, and a bench for putting your shoes on.
This week's room is a great example of this idea. A lovely and loungey daybed Is the source of this new living space. You can do a clustered arrangement by adding a nice floor lamp or table. Or a combo! I love this bamboo table/ lamp. What a clever idea. How nice would it be to lay on the daybed reading a classic novel by the light of the window.
Here is another example of a clustered living area. A bright breakfast "nook" full of mismatched chairs and a minimal table. Wow I think this is straight from my dreams.
In my own small home I have created living spaces with single benches or chars. I love the flexibility it provides. and I just plan, love furniture.
How have you, or can you create a variety of seating spaces in your home?
Have a beautiful and bright day!

Inside the house
This month I want to share with you some of my favorite interiors, and why I like them. I started loving interior design several years ago. I haven't been able to stop searching magazines and ideas for home decor.
Week 1:
There are many reasons why I love this living room, and chose it for my first interior to share with you. This room is not only inspiring to me, it could be an achievable look with the right vintage finds. It is also a great foundational layout for any spacious room and beginning designer. It is pretty clear that the style of the pieces may not appeal to everyone, but just imagine switching out the painting or "coffee table" for something that appeals more to you.
Ideas on how to achieve this look:
The make-shift coffee table/ trunk is definitely something I've seen at a great aunt's house before (you probably have too.) Snatch it up if you can! Or thrift it! I'm sure you could find a bold-color couch from the 70's that is still in good shape. (Ok, maybe not that good.) The pillows are clearly DIY-able with a trip to the brocade bargain bins. mirrored furniture is a weakness of mine, and the side tables are no exception. I've seen similar pieces at places like TJ Maxx or Marshalls. They aren't exactly the cheapest things around. You could splurge, or compromise with glass top side tables. The pair of lamps are pretty find-able and thrift-able and you can create the same mirrored effect with this mercury glass tutorial! Now to the main event, the giant piece of Rococo-esque art. I'm sure that one of your grandparents is hiding away a piece like this in a closet somewhere. Posters are always an option too. the last piece of the puzzle is the lovely designer rug. There are lots of "paint it" rug tutorials out there, like this one.
I'd love to hear what you lovely ladies think of this look!
